  “CITY RATS” wins a BVA

(UK—Apr 26, London 2010) We are proud to announce that City Rats won an award for the films markeing initaitive at last nights 30th Anniversary British Video Association Awards.

This recognition from the industry is great reward for all the hard work releasing the film and a very well thought out succesful campaign, remarked 'Dean'. We would like to thank Tom Clark (head of marketing at Revolver) and Rhi Patel (head of PR at Revolver) for their support of the release and hard work.

The British Video Association, the trade organisation which represents the most important audiovisual sector in the UK, honoured the cream of home entertainment last night at a glittering 30th Anniversary Awards ceremony in London, presented by high-flying comedian Alun Cochrane. The event, which attracted more than 1000 guests and was generously sponsored by the online home entertainment retailer The Hut, recognised the outstanding creative and commercial achievements of companies whose performances and results throughout 2009 made them stand out within the hugely competitive home entertainment market place.

The BVA recognised that the release strategy went beyond the standard approach to DVD releases, involving a variety of innovative activities despite a limited budget. The result of such activity boosted the film’s awareness to the extent that sales exceeded expectations; so much so that the DVD continues to sell at a strong steady pace one year on. It has now sold more than 350,000 copies.
