“Stormhouse" to Premiere at Edinburgh

(UK—May 11, London 2011) We are delighted to announce that Scanner-Rhodes latest production Stormhouse will be premiering at the prestigious Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Stormhouse Directed by Dan Turner and written by Jason Arnopp, is inspired by true events when the Military captured and prisoned a ghost as part of an experiment back in 2002. The film was shot in two weeks at where the actual experiment took place at a disused Army base in the famous Rendlesham Forest. The cast and crew lived on location, and were kept to a strict military regime, to mirror what happened in 2002.

Edinburgh Film Festival runs over 12 days from 15th to 26th June. Past premiere's at the Edinburgh Film Festival include Dr Zhivago, Taxi Driver, Manhattan, Blade Runner, Back to the Future, Pulp Fiction, ET: The Extra Terrestrial, The Motorcycle Diaries, and Oscar ® triumph The Hurt Locker. Edinburgh prides itself on showcasing the best of British up and coming talent. Recent inclusions into the festival are Gareth Edwards' Monsters and Duncan Jones' Moon.

Stormhouse Director Dan Turner said "being selected for the Edinburgh International Film Festival is a huge honour, and something I’ve always worked towards as a filmmaker. I'm very excited to have Stormhouse screened at one of the most prestigious festivals in the world."

"After years of trying to get our films into the festival, surprisingly they invited us to take part with Stormhouse. This is a great achievement for the film and everyone involved," remarked the film's producer Dean Fisher.
